Bristol Short Story Prize
Twenty fantastic stories have been short listed for the Bristol Short Story Prize's third anthology.
Now in its third year, the Bristol Short Story Prize (BSSP) aims to publish the best previously unpublished short stories and promote the stories and writers. The judging panel for 2010 consists of Bertel Martin (Chair), Joe Berger, Maia Bristol, Tania Hershman and Helen Hart of SilverWood Books.
The third annual competition was launched in November 2009 and attracted entries from around the world. The judges chose from a longlist of forty stories and selected twenty for the final anthology. The list of shortlisted stories can be browsed here. The winning story will be announced at an awards ceremony on Saturday 17th July 2010 at Bristol's Arnolfini Arts Centre.
Previous Bristol Short Story Prize anthologies are available in some bookshops and online at sites including Bristol Books and Publishers, The Book Depository, Amazon, Blackwell and Waterstone's.
