Mark Dando is an author, a mentor, coach and trainer, and a poet.
He works with a small team of highly talented developers: Doug Richardson, Alison Rogers, Andrew Manuel and Luke Thomas.
He co-founded what became Coloured Square Limited with Doug in 2000. Together their provocative and powerful "structured common-sense” system of learning and development continues to receive rave reviews from individuals and organisations who want help to improve their management, leadership, sales, influence, presenting – in short anything which requires more skill in communication. Their favourite brief is to help organisations change their approach to the business of learning and development itself – from improving speed to competence and engagement.
Mark has been an author since 2013. This is his fourth book written for people who want to change their thinking and improve their skills. His first three books are about attitudes to time, attitudes to presenting and the attitudes and activities required to improve personal well-being. He has published two children’s books: The Boy Who Yawned, and The Boy Who Kidnapped Father Christmas. A third children’s book (with a girl in the title) is finished and ready to go.
Starting in 2019, he’s been putting some of his energy into poetry. He can be seen and heard performing at spoken word events in Bristol on a regular basis.
When he’s not writing, developing people, or performing poetry, he plays the guitar, practises Tai Chi, tries to beat his children at table tennis, and plays games of all kinds.
He lives in Bristol with his wife and children.
