Peter Chaplin, a veteran of the Dog Section of Avon & Somerset Police, has many memories form his time with the police, but none stick in his mind as much as the five glorious years he spent with the 'Hound from Hell' – a legendary German Shepherd named Major. This book highlights some of the amazing criminal adventures that Peter and Major confronted together from 1979 to 1984.
Told using photographs, extracts from Peter's diaries and tales and anecdotes from fellow officers, A Job With Bite will take you on a roller coaster experience of crime-fighting in the '70s, '80s and '90s in and around Bristol.
232 pages with 8 pages of colour plates.
