10 Tips for Crowdfunding your Book

Thinking of crowdfunding your book? Crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo offer a way of raising money for your self-publishing project and giving yourself a ready-made set of readers to enjoy and recommend it.
But how to go about it? What do you need to know? On our blog we have recently shared crowdfunded author Elizabeth Hopkinson’s top ten suggestions for those considering crowdfunding their work.

Following the publication of her debut novel, Keeper’s, Margaret Castle appeared in The Mendip Times to discuss the wonderful local support and encouragement she received to help her throughout the process. Read the article on p.76 of September’s e-issue here

Trish Dugmore’s novel Larksong was released this month, and she discussed its publication on BBC Radio Devon. 

Frances Thomas featured in The Brecon and Radnor Express in an article titled 'Award-winning writer takes inspiration from lockdown’ in which she talks about her poetry collection. 

Frances said: "I’ve written lots of different things during my life and even though I really love writing children’s literature, there is something special about poetry."

11 September - Trish Dugmore published her debut novel, Larksong. This is the story of a farming family and a small community adapting to life in the aftermath of the First World War, surviving the changes that the twentieth century brings to rural Devon.

22 September was publication day for Stories from the Archives. This is Pearl Foster’s second title with SilverWood and follows the fascinating real-life stories of the Lara and Furtado families of Georgian England: the ordinary, the bizarre, the chancers, the takers and the history makers.
