SilverWood report from London Book Fair 2022

It was great to be at Olympia in April for London Book Fair.

Our head of marketing and the publishing team spent three days talking to authors, meeting industry connections and networking. For authors, it's the perfect place to learn about the publishing industry. (Unless you've got meetings set up with agents, it's not really the place to directly promote or pitch your own book.)

What you can do is learn much more about publishing, rights and book marketing. There are so many talks to choose from, especially in the busy Author's HQ. Then you can share photos and posts on social media with your followers and if you're a SilverWood author, of course, we will share them too.

While there, we met up with publicists Literally PR and author brand coach, Isabelle Knight, as well as social media and book marketing coach, Kelly Weekes. One of our recommended editors, Lesley Hart from Author's Pen, also came to our stand at the show. It was a great opportunity to connect with Cornerstones, Ingram and the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) once more.

A huge thank you to the authors who came along to support us there and to those with their books on the stand. It was great to meet you in person: Yulia Pylyavskaya, Jacqueline James, Helen Morrish and Richard Skinner!
