Maritta Kaumanns launched her wonderful book about The Camargue in France on 7 June. Under the Black Bull’s Hooves - Histories of the Camargue is an engaging account of the history, the joy and the personalities of the black bulls of the Camargue...the beating heart of a unique culture. Monica Kendall, editor and abridger of North Wales: Intended as a Guide to Future Tourists - William Bingley (1804), featured in an article in The Times in June. Monica's North Wales now has the accolade of having the oldest correction in The Times here: "Two centuries on it's not too late for a correction".
Two World War Two themed novels Bombweed and Kissed To Death will be the subject of talks later this year. And finally, Máire Malone's Hungry Trails has made the longlist on the Carousel Aware Prize for Indies (The CAP Awards). The CAP Awards aims to provide a platform to showcase the cream of Irish Self-Published authors, bringing them to the attention of book shops, distributors, and the media in Ireland and abroad, with all money raised going to the charity Aware.
