DENNIS LOYNES was born in 1949 and has spent his entire life in the rural splendour that is Worcestershire. He retired from his job as Finance Director of a small group of motor dealers in 2008. He loved his job and is enjoying his busy life of retirement even more. He achieved an honours degree in Social Science in 2013 and discovered the thrill of writing by chance when penning a Christmas story for his grandchildren. That story grew and grew and became Santas Challenges, published in 2018.

In 2013 he had short stories published in Figures in the Mist and Windmills and Paper Boats. His first novel Trials of Love was published in 2017 by SilverWood Books and its sequel, Pathway to Love, in 2020.

Since then, one thought kept flicking through his mind – what happened to the Bishop family? Did they escape the never-ending evil clutches of the dastardly Davieses? There was only one way to find out, and that's how Lost Love was born.

He has recently self-published Short Affairs of the Heart, which is a collection of light-hearted, humorous short stories – many of which were written for the Worcester Writers Circle of which he is a member.
